First off, I love to read James Patterson. That being said, this book was disappointing. After reading several reviews, pro and con, I decided I had to read it and decide for myself. It just didn't "sound" like James Patterson. I only gave it 3 stars because I love some of the characters in his other books.

The Lake House is a direct continuation of James Patterson's When the Wind Blows, so hopefully you read that audiobook first. I didn't like The Lake House quite as well as the first book in the series. I didn't feel like James Patterson ever really established the connection between Doctor Kane and The School.
